UFC 136 Bonuses Announced

Four fighters from UFC 136 walked away with an extra $75,000 to line their pockets after putting forth exemplary performances this evening in Houston.

For “Submission of the Night,” grappling ace Joe Lauzon defeated Melvin Guillard with a rear naked choke to earn the upset victory, while Nam Phan and Leonard Garcia took home “Fight of the Night” for their three round slugfest that had the crowd going wild.

The “Knockout of the Night” appropriately went to Frankie Edgar, who came back from a first round beating at the hands of Gray Maynard to knock out his opponent in the fourth round of their five round bout. The victory ends the drawn out trilogy with a much-needed bang.

Dana White announced all the bonuses at the post-fight press conference.

UFC 136 took place in Houston, Texas this Saturday and featured the aforementioned lightweight championship bout between Edgar and Maynard. In the co-main event, Jose Aldo bested Kenny Florian to retain the featherweight crown.
