UFC Fan Expo Returning to Las Vegas July 6-7

Event will coincide with pay-per-view

Fans looking to grab hold of tickets for the next UFC Fan Expo shouldn’t have to wait much longer. The next major UFC fan event will take place July 6-7 in Las Vegas and will coincide with the promotion’s annual pay-per-view scheduled around the Independence Day holiday.

Multiple major outlets, including MMA Fighting and MMA Junkie, have reported the news, which was first reported nearly a month ago by Rob Tatum at The MMA Corner. The Expo is expected to take place, like past editions in Las Vegas, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The pay-per-view, reports say, is likely for the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The last UFC Fan Expo took place in Houston in October, coinciding with UFC 136. The UFC also held a Fan Expo in 2011 in Toronto for UFC 129. Previous Fan Expos have been held in London for UFC 120 and Boston for UFC 118, as well as three in Las Vegas, all around the July 4 weekend shows – UFC 100, UFC 116 and UFC 132 in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Typical UFC Fan Expos include dozens of vendor booths, hundreds of UFC and Strikeforce fighter appearances for autograph signings and photo sessions, keynote speeches from the likes of UFC president Dana White and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta, Hall of Fame presentations, training sessions and grappling tournaments.

The UFC has not yet made the event official or announced ticket on-sale dates.
