The Crazy Train Rolls On: Ozzy Tour Extended

Heavy metal’s madman Ozzy Osbourne will continue the second leg of his world tour in 2011 in support of his latest release “Scream”, with stops in North America as well as a jaunt on down to South America.

At 62 years of age, it’s quite the feat for Ozzy to still be pounding the eardrums of metal heads across the world. Osbourne has stated in the past, first in 1993 and in the later years of his Ozzfest run that he would retire, but with songs like “I don’t wanna stop” and “It gets me through” it seems the iron man just can’t desert his fans. Since his humble upbringing in Birmingham, England to rise and fall with Black Sabbath and rise again as a solo artist, Ozzy has truly given his fans all that he has and epitomizes the image of a rock icon.

For the first half of his “Scream World Tour” Ozzy brought along fellow metal legend, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford. A natural fit for touring together, Judas Priest also started in Birmingham and rose to prominence in the 1980s before breaking up and reforming again. And while Halford maybe leaving to pursue other projects, when you’re Ozzy Osbourne your black book of buddies to call up for a gig is pretty big. Buddies like Slash.

Slash, who was named by RollingStone Magazine as one of the top 50 guitarists of all time recruited Ozzy to sing on a track for his first solo record, so it only seems fitting the two bad boys of rock hit the road together. Having already toured across Europe and much of the US in 2010, Ozzy will kick off the second leg Jan 16th in Omaha, NE and play shows throughout the United States before bringing his mayhem to South America.
