The ladies of Xscape made a visit to V-103, a popular Atlanta radio station, yesterday to sit down with TV/radio personality Big Tigger to discuss their reunion. Only three of the four girls were actually present; Kandi Burruss-Tucker, Tamika Scott, and Tameka “Tiny” Cottle. LaTocha Scott was out of town and couldn’t attend the in-studio interview, however, she did join in via phone.

Xscape was a popular 90s R&B girl group, who were signed to Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def record label in Atlanta. The ladies formed the group in high school and later broke up due to disagreements and fighting. Since splitting Kandi and Tiny went on to win a Grammy for writing TLC’s hit song “No Scrubs”. Kandi also wrote hits for Pink and Destiny’s Child. She would go on to become a castmember on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, one the most popular reality shows on television. Tameka Scott has made acting appearances in plays and films. Her sister LaTocha Scott has appeared on TV One’s R&B Divas: Atlanta. Tiny is infamously known as the Queen to T.I., the “King of the South”. Together they have built an empire that includes music, reality television, clothing, a restaurant, a strip club, and many children.

In 2005 Xscape made a ver short comeback, minus Kandi. They replaced Kandi with Kiesha Miles and recorded Unchained, their single “Whats Up” became very popular. It even received a spot on the soundtrack for the film ATL. The group aired out all of their dirty laundry during an episode of TV One’s Unsung in 2015.

Xscape has promised that at some point this year they will come together to give the fans what they have been waiting almost sixteen years for.
