DJ Sparkle Bomb “The Dance Experiment”

The Dance Experiment

A little journey down the interweb wormhole brought me to DJ Sparkle Bomb’s mix, The Dance Experiment, on Soundcloud. I’ll let him explain his inspiration:
“In April 2010 I participated in the original “Dance Experiment,” which consisted of a group of danceless strangers joining together to learn 4 choreographed dance routines, performing these routines in 2 shows and all the while being videotaped for a documentary. The day before our first performance, I decided I needed to provide myself with a little pre-show distraction in order to maintain control of essential bodily functions. In a fit of desperation, I slammed together a playlist of my top songs that had kept my head bobbing all winter. That playlist became the foundation for this mix.”

And it’s a great mix too featuring Nightmares On Wax, De La Soul, Outkast, Spank Rock, Lady Sovereign, Common, Jamiroquai, Simian Mobile Disco, Cut Copy, Justice, Hot Chip, and Peaches in this 100+ minute mix.
