Has it really been 20 years!?!? Yes indeedy it has. August 5th-7th Chicago will be celebrating 20 years of Lollapalooza in beautiful Grant Park. Headliners for the platinum anniversary: Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, and Muse. Also performing over those three days: My Morning Jacket, A Perfect Circle, Cee Lo Green, Bright Eyes, Arctic Monkeys, Deftones, Beirut, Death From Above 1979, The Kills, Best Coast, Sleigh Bells, Local Natives, Smith Westerns – it goes on and on, and that doesn’t even include Perry Farrell’s tent. Over at Perry’s you can catch Girl Talk, Kid Cudi, Afrojack, The Bloody Beetroots, and more. It’s a pretty solid lineup (though I don’t see NIN anywhere on that list), and I’m guessing that the roster is only going to get more insane as the festival approaches. Individual day tickets and 3-day passes have been on sale for awhile, and you can get all the deets about the festival over at Lolla’s website.
