Alexis Wright Faces More Heat for Foodstamp Fraud than Selling Sex

Alexis Wright, Tax evasion, Mark W. Strong, Kennebunk, Maine, Zumba Whorehouse.

Authorities in Maine are trying to “Al Capone” the alleged Zumba Whorehouse madam Alexis Wright.

She may be accused of banging over 150 men for money, but it’s the charges of screwing the government that could keep her in the slammer until her tight body turns saggy.

Wright allegedly claimed over $20,000 in combined tax refunds, food stamps, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families — all the while she was allegedly hooking her way up to a Romney tax bracket.

Of the 106 counts against her, just three are felonies — two of theft by deception and one of tax evasion. While the misdemeanor charges (prostitution, criminal invasion) carry penalties of up to one year in prison and a $2,000 fine, the felonies could each bring 10 years / $20,000.

As we reported yesterday, Wright claimed a meager living whilst allegedly collecting thousands in fees for performing sex acts to a list of johns.

Back in February, local police raided the Zumba dance studio in Kennebunk and Wright’s home in the nearby town of Wells. What they found was a ledger detailing the names of johns, the amounts tendered and the individual sex acts performed.

She is also charged with making false statements to the Department of Health and Human Services. She further claimed a child benefit worth $97 per week. She has one child and lived with the child’s father until 2007. In 2009 she began teaching Zumba classes in Kennebunk.

Her assets include a 2006 Toyota, $25 in a savings account and $2,000 in a checking account. She also claimed that in November 2011 her child’s father was five weeks behind in his child support payments and her business was struggling.

Her alleged partner, Mark W. Strong, is charged with 59 counts including criminal invasion and promotion of prostitution.
