Texas A&M Evacuated After Bomb Threat

Parts of Texas A&M were evacuated at 11:34am local time after the school received an anonymous bomb threat. The college released a tweet:

A further update came through advising students:

Do not attempt to come to campus until the university issues an ALL CLEAR notice. Off-campus transit service running outbound only. All off-campus routes will run from Church Street (in the heart of Northgate) and Anderson Street byA&M Consolidated Middle School.

There is no word yet on whether or not this will affect tomorrow’s football game between Texas A&M and LSU. Coincidentally last month LSU had their own bomb scare. Fishy. LSU is ranked 6th in the BCS standings, with A&M in 18th place.

Officials have yet to comment on who is to blame for the threat but some students already have it figured out:

All Friday classes were canceled.

Meanwhile LSU students aren’t showing too much sympathy for their rivals:

This threat follows bomb-threat campus evacuations last month at University of Texas at Austin, North Dakota State in Fargo, and Hiram College in Ohio. The previous threat in Austin claimed to be from al-Qaeda.
