Covering an election makes for a long, grueling day and night. It’s enough to make any veteran news anchor look like he or she just funneled a bottle of Grey Goose and Nyquil.
So we’re, like, totally buying the story from ABC that Diane Sawyer was just super-tired last night when she was covering the election while practically drooling her slurred words onto the news desk.

A source told the Daily Mail that Diane looking f*cking trashed not because she was sloshed — but because she suffered sleepless nights leading up to the election due to an obsession with overpreparedness.
Diane’s fine, she’s exhausted. Diane’s been up for days and she’s had many sleepless nights. She was covering the hurricane and then preparing for the election broadcast. If you knew Diane you’d realize she’s one of the hardest working people on television. She likes to cram things in, she likes to have every fact at her finger tips … and I think that came at the expense of the broadcast.
Ya think?
