He’s the University of Hawaii’s biggest recruit, running back David Fangupo from Kealakehe High School in the Aloha State.
The 350-pound bruiser will be playing college ball next season, striking fear into NCAA players everywhere.
BYU, Georgia and host of other colleges were after Fangupo’s signature, but he’s decided to stay closer to home. Fangupo told West Hawaii Today how it felt to commit to University of Hawaii:
I felt like it was not real at the moment, I’m excited and feel blessed that they would do that for me.
Fangupo’s stats for this season read:
[Fangupo] carried 75 times for 534 yards and six touchdowns for Kealakehe.
