The Boston medical examiner earlier this week determined the cause of death of Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

But the information was kept from the public until after Tsarnaev’s body was claimed and the death certificate was filed.

Now, it is finally revealed:

Yesterday, Tamerlan’s uncle claimed the body, ramping up anticipation and speculation in the media over the cause of death.

Tamerlan was killed on the night of massive firefight with cops in Watertown, Massachusetts, during which he and his brother Dzhokhar launched homemade bombs. Dzhokhar ran over his brother when escaping the scene, and it was unknown whether Tamerlan died as a result of gunfire, explosions, or death-by-vehicle.

Apparently, the autopsy failed to distinguish between the lethal force of the car and the bullets.
