WATCH: Concordia Cruise Ship Flipped Right Side Up Time Lapse

The saving of the Concordia cruise ship began Monday and if you don’t know, the Concordia was a luxury ship that ran into some serious coral reefs off the coast of Italy in 2012. The ship is 952 feet long and weighs over 100 tons, so it was a pretty big boo-boo. Now, if you’re looking for a convenient word to describe this time lapse, here’s the relevant nautical term: parbuckling, but as non-sailors, we ought to just stick to the mundane but sufficiently accurate ‘rotating.’ Check out the time lapse below.
