One person is dead and two injured after a predawn incident this morning at a nightclub inside the Bally’s Hotel and Casino on the Vegas Strip, reports Fox Las Vegas.

Here’s what you need to know:


1. The Gunfire Erupted in an After-Hours Club

The shooting happened at around 5:45 a.m. at Drai’s, an after-hours club inside inside the Casino complex. Drai’s club is located on the lower floor of Bally’s. The casino area close to the entrance of the club was closed down for a time, though reports from the ground indicate the main casino area is still open for business.


2. Las Vegas Police Have Nabbed a Suspect

A suspect is in custody. Radio host Dave Farra, of Las Vegas station X1075, reports that the shooter was tackled by casino patrons.


3. One Person Was Killed in the Mayhem

One victim is confirmed dead. The condition of the two injured people is unknown. Las Vegas police LT. Jay Roberts said told The Associated Press that the victims were taken to University Medical Center.


4. The Shooter Was Previously Asked to Leave the Club

Fox5 reports that the man was causing trouble inside the club and was asked to leave, at this point he opened fire.


5. The Club is Owned by Movie Producer Victor Drai

The club is owned by Victor Drai, a movie producer behind such films as Weekend at Bernie’s. Drai was formerly married to movie star Kelly LeBrock. Bally’s is a temporary home for the club, Drai’s moved there in February while the club’s permanent home at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon is undergoing renovations, reported The Las Vegas Sun.
