Alexian Lien, 33, was the man driving the Range Rover in the terrifying road-rage video that went viral this week.

Lien was dragged from his SUV and attacked by a group of bikers, known as the Hollywood Stuntz, after a harrowing chase sparked when he ran over at least one rider — fearing for his family’s safety after his vehicle was surrounded.

Lien was released from a hospital on the night of the attack, lucky to escape with minor injuries, reports The Daily News.

The NYPD have arrested a group of suspects, Christopher Cruz, Craig Wright and Reggie Chance in relation to the incident. He’s charged with a slew of charges, including endangering a child.

1. Lien and His Wife Were Celebrating Their Anniversary

Lien became a target of the gang while he was driving along the West Side Highway in Manhattan with his wife and 2-year-old daughter. The couple were celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary.

It’s alleged that the erratic driving of Christopher Cruz (which included performing wheelies and sudden braking) drew the the frustration of Lien. Eventually the incident came to head when Cruz slowed down in front of Lien and Lien’s vehicle struck the bike. The SUV was forced to stop, and bikers surrounded it. The 33-year-old, fearing for his family’s safety, panicked and sped away from the group, hitting several of them.

2. He Was Beaten and Knifed in Front of His 2-Year-Old Daughter

The horrific attack ended in Washington Heights, where a group of bikers attacked the family, breaking the car’s windows, dragging him out, stabbing him in the face and beating him. Lien’s 2-year-old daughter sat in a car seat just a few inches away.

The bikers had fled the scene by the time NYPD arrived. Lien was taken to Columbia University Medical Center where he received stitches and was released.


3. Lien Founded an E-Commerce Powerhouse

Lien is one of the founders of the e-commerce firm Skrill.com. The London-based company was founded in 2007 and has assets of nearly $50 million, according to Due Dil.


4. He Will Not Face Charges Despite Possibly Paralyzing a Biker

CBS New York is reporting that Lien will not be charged, despite hitting biker Jeremiah Mieses, 26, from Lawrence, Massachusetts. Mieses’ father, the Rev. Edwin Mieses, has said that his son will never walk again.


5. Lien is Graduate of Columbia University

Lien is a resident of Lower Manhattan, where he lives with his wife Rosalyn and their 2-year-old daughter.

He was born in 1980 and now works for a company called MB Employee Nominees Limited, where he’s listed as a “Banker.” Previously he worked for Swiss bank Credit Suisse.

He has a computer engineering degree from Columbia University.

He reportedly rejected requests from reporters from interviews and has deleted his social media accounts for fear of reprisals from the biker gang.
