This is the first big win for “Roc Nation Sports,” Jay Z’s newly launched sports management agency. Earlier this year, Cano became the only baseball player to work with Roc Nation Sports, but he joins NFL players Victor Cruz and Geno Smith, as well as NBA players Kevin Durant and Skylar Diggins.
Now, it seems that the 31-year-old five time MLB All-Star will be playing for the Mariners until his early 40s. In his final season with the Yankees, in 2013, Cano batted a .314 average and hit 27 home runs, including his 200th career home run.
