When is Daylight Saving Time in 2014?
Here’s the date and time to change the clocks in the U.S. and Canada:
At 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014, set your clocks forward one hour.
And remember, it’s spring forward, fall back. This is spring, so we’re going one hour forward.
Luckily this happens on a Sunday, so for most of you it’s not a big deal if you wake up thinking it’s an hour earlier than it is. But come Monday, have your clocks straightened out. Make sure to check your kitchen stove clock, car clock — any clock you use on a regular basis that isn’t smart enough to update automatically.
In the U.S., 48 states observe the time change for Daylight Saving Time, with Hawaii and Arizona the dissenters (barring the Navajo Nation in the northern part of Arizona).
We’ll get our hour back on Sunday, November 2, when Daylight Saving Time ends, but until then, enjoy the longer evenings!
