Gabriela Montoya has reportedly passed away, fighting for her life after a tragic car accident that occurred over the weekend. Read on for the sad facts.
1. Montoya Was Known as “Honey Bun”

Montoya, 17-years-old, was a junior at Lehman High School in Kyle, Texas before tragically losing her life. According to a post written by a person named Melanie Lopez, Montoya was a very active girl, having her hands in sports, modeling and getting ready for prom. Parents Carrie and Richard reportedly rushed to their daughter’s side when they heard the news of the accident.

As a patient in the ICU at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Gabriela Montoya had been fighting for her life since the accident. Montoya reportedly sustained several injuries, most severely a brain injury.

Some of the community surrounding Montoya have begun to leave messages in the wake of this tragedy. One young man wrote:
I know the Lord will be with her and you guys and girls we had prayed for her salvation and freedom in Jesus Christ but no matter what happens Carrie family just stay strong in to the Lord and keep asking I know he hears all of our prayers and in the gospel of Luke 1;37 for with God nothing shall be Impossible .I have seen God move in my life every single day and I know he will sure bring you family peace and love and joy and happiness I know he will pull you all through.

4. A Campaign Was Started for Funding Montoya’s Medical Bills
In order to raise money for Montoya’s medical treatment, an online campaign was started on her family’s behalf.
