Here’s what you need to know:


Boston Parade

Date And Time: Sunday, March 16; 1:00 p.m.

The most famous celebration perhaps in the whole world, South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2014, is the second largest parade in the U.S. Around 800,000 attend the parade every year. The parade begins on West Broadway in South Boston at 1:00 p.m. local time on Sunday March 16.


New York Parade

Date And Time: Monday, March 17, 2014; 11:00 a.m.

The biggest parade in the U.S. is in New York City. It’s being celebrated on March 17, actual St. Patrick’s Day. It is the 252nd year of the parade. The New York City parade is older than the Declaration of Independence. It’s being shown live on NBC 4 and streamed on their website.

Chicago Parade

Date And Time: Saturday, March 15, 2014; 12:00 p.m.

If you pull yourself away from dying the river, get yourself over to the parade. Or if you’d rather stay at home, the whole show is being broadcast on ABC 7.



Savannah, Georgia

Date And Time: Monday, March 17, 2014: 10:15 a.m.

With a parade dating back to 1874, relative to the size of the city, Savannah has the largest parade with 750,000 showing up to celebrate the green. The town has a population of 136,286. You can watch it all on WTOC-11 from 8 a.m.

Philadelphia

Date And Time: Sunday, March 16, 2014; 12:00 p.m. noon.

Like New York, the Philadelphia parade goes back to before the U.S. was founded. The Irish first marched in the city in 1771. You can catch coverage of this year’s festivities from 1:00 p.m. on CWPhilly.
