The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona released a mug shot Thursday of former Pro Bowl Donovan McNabb, but details about McNabb’s booking haven’t been released.

Here’s what you need to know:


1. There’s No Official Word on McNabb’s Status

The sheriff’s office has not commented on what charges McNabb is facing or when he was booked. But the office released the mug shot.


2. McNabb Was Booked for a Criminal Traffic Stop in January

Deadspin did some digging and found that McNabb was cited for a criminal traffic offense on January 6.

3. Three Hearings in the Traffic Case Have Been Held for a Change of Plea

McNabb’s hearing schedule, pictured below, shows change of plea hearings that took place on March 18, March 20 and April 3. A pretrial conference is said to have taken place April 8, with a status conference scheduled for May 6.

4. TMZ Says The Arrest Was for a DUI

TMZ, citing law enforcement sources, reported that the January arrest was for driving under the influence. The site reports that McNabb agreed to a plea deal that resulted in a one-day jail sentence that McNabb has already served.


5. McNabb Is an Analyst on Fox Sports 1

McNabb was one of the inaugural staffers when Fox launched Fox Sports 1 last summer. The ex-quarterback, always a polarizing figure during his playing days in Philadelphia, engraged NASCAR fans when he said on Fox’s Fox Sports Live show that NASCAR star Jimmie Johnson is “absolutely” not an athlete.
