A New York City theatre-company released this eye-catching photo to publicize their new off-Broadway show The Feminism of a Soft Merlot or (How the Donkey Got Punched)… with an obviously equally interesting title.
In a world of bizarre advertising, this ad really caught Facebook’s attention.
After contacting the PR team for the show, we learned a bit about it.
Sexually adventurous Kareena delves into monogamy with her boyfriend Teddy, while her inhibited best friend, Sam, starts dating Kyle, a pornographer. After a makeover, a scandal, and a documentary, the real question is, who is the donkey? The play asks what sexual empowerment and intimacy is in the age of online porn, dating, and pop culture. The cast features: Diana Oh, Lauren Dortch Crozier, Patrick Daniel Smith, and Justin Anselmi. Our work climbs inside, up and over the walls that have confined and silenced the voices of the few and the oppressed.
