The Spurs gave the Heat a beating for the second consecutive time in Game 4 of the NBA Finals with a final score of 107-87 to go up 3-1 in the series. The Heat had not been defeated in Miami this season before today.

The Heat’s only support was Lebron James who could not hold up against the impenetrable Spurs defense, nor could he single handedly stop their signature offense. The only way to describe the Spurs in Game 4 is pure beauty.

Here’s the how the Spurs got the job done:

Every Player on the Spurs Scored

Parker played well with 19 points while veteran Tim Duncan finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Every player on the Spurs who played contributed to the final blowout score.

The Spurs played like a true team should and has been deemed debateably the best team of all time. Both the Spurs offense and defense have such a solid, intertwined foundation that brings a new meaning to fluidity.

Lebron Had 19 of 21 Points for the Heat in the 3rd Quarter

Lebron was 7 for 7 in the 3rd quarter with 19 points. The rest of the team has 2 points total in the quarter. It’s not his fault the rest of the Heat are doing ABSOLUTELY nothing. The Spurs are leading after the 3rd quarter 81-57.

James finished up the game with 28 points and 8 rebounds while Wade was 1 for 10 until the last quarter where he finished with just 10 points.

The Spurs Were Leading By 19 at the Half

The Heat didn’t stand much of a chance at any point during the game. The score just kept getting further and further apart with the shortest difference between the Spurs and Heat being 13 points.

Kawhi Leonard Dominated on Both Sides of the Court

Lebron who? Kawhi Leonard defines total domination. There is no doubt who the true MVP of the series will be based on Leonard’s performances there past few games. Despite how well everyone is contributing within the Spurs, Leonard sticks out as the strongest player offensively and defensively.

The Spurs Bench Was On Fire

It cannot be said enough how much of the team effort the win was for the Spurs. What that team did on the court was unheard of considering how strongly the game of basketball allows a team to rely on one star player. The Spurs proved that the strongest team is one who works together, not a single standout player (cough Lebron).

Duncan, Parker and Ginobili Supported

This trio has been together for as long as most people can remember. It is no wonder the Spurs have such a strong foundation and play the way they do. The Spurs stick together.

This game could determine who takes home the championship.

The Heat really shouldn’t even need to rely on the superstar because of the depth of the Heat roster between Chalmers, Allen, Bosh and of course Dwayne Wade, however they have not shown much gumption in the past two games in support of James.

Below was a foreshadowing of the outcome of Game 4.
