Cops in Los Angeles are on the hunt for Michael Nunn, a man in Iowa who they say repeatedly threatened tattoo artist and reality TV star Kat Von D, after he said he would “go Columbine in Los Angeles” because Von D ruined his life.
Von D was awarded a permanent restraining order against Nunn in December 2012 after he sent a box of chocolates to her home and would not stop calling her, according to E! Online.
Here’s what you need to know about Nunn:
1. He Tweeted Von D’s Phone Number
Von D, interviewed in the video above, originally received a box of chocolates addressed to Katherine Drachenberg, her real name, at her home in California sent by Nunn. When she told Nunn to stop contacting her, he tweeted Von D’s phone number. After that incident, Von D was able to obtain a restraining order against Nunn that required him to stay 300 feet away from her at all times and cease internet contact with her, according to Perez Hilton.
2. He’s Tweeted at Other Celebrities
According to The Huffington Post, Nunn tweeted at other celebrities including Adriana Lima, Hugh Hefner and Mike Tyson. Nunn’s Twitter handle, which has been deactivated, was @MikkiSixx66.
According to the restraining order obtained by Von D, Nunn’s tweets showed, “delusional and paranoid tendencies, including a belief the FBI is watching him and that certain celebrities want to harm him,” according to E! Online.
3. He Said His Only Reason For Living Is Revenge
According to TMZ, Nunn tweeted the following on June 4 from a new, undisclosed Twitter account:
You have to understand, Kat, my life is over because of you. Therefore, what would my only reason for living be? Revenge.
He also told Von D to, “Get it through your f****** head!! Lose the game or watch people die! Your [sic] running out of time and I’m not running out of anger and determination.”
4. Police Haven’t Located Him
According to TMZ, police haven’t been able to locate Nunn. They have, however, acquired a search warrant to access his Twitter account, which they hope can give them insight on Nunn’s location.
5. The Restraining Order Runs Out in 2015
According to TMZ, the restraining order Von D filed against Nunn was extended until 2015 when she filed to make the restraining order permanent.
