April Millsap was out walking her dog in the quiet Armada Township in Michigan when she last seen alive on July 24, later that day she was found murdered in a wooded area near her home, reports Fox Detroit.

1. Cops Are Searching For a Grey Van

Police in Armada have vowed to find Millsap’s killers. On July 26, Michigan State Police joined the hunt, telling the media officers are searching for a grey van in relation to the killing. It’s been described as painters van with plenty of dents. Despite describing the murder as a homicide, police have said there was no signs of outward trauma and it wasn’t a sexual assault.
2. Her Parents Didn’t Realize She Was Missing
Millsap’s parents didn’t realize she was missing until the noticed a large police presence close to their home. When they went to check it out, they were told that their daughter was dead. The Macomb Daily reports that Millsap’s parents said that April would walk the family’s border collie everyday at around 5:00 p.m.
Millsap’s body was discovered who jogging through the Macomb Orchard Trail in Armada, a town that is 35 miles northeast of Detroit. Her dog led the joggers to her body, reports Click On Detroit.
3. She Texted Her Boyfriend on the Night She Was Killed
April Millsap, the murdered 15-year-old, from Armada, Michigan, is reported by MLive to have texted her boyfriend on the night she was killed. Millsap horrifically texted, “OMG…I think I’m being kidnapped.”
According to reports, Millsap’s boyfriend has been interviewed by cops and isn’t considered a suspect in the horrific crime.
4. Her School are Giving Grief Counseling to Students
Millsap was a student at Armada Middle School. The school are offering grief counseling to students in the midst of this tragedy, reports WXYZ.
