Lauren Killian Cassel is the beautiful wife of the Buffalo Bills’ potential starting quarterback, Matt Cassel.

Here’s what you need to know about her:


1. She Was the Captain of the USC Women’s Volleyball Team

Lauren was a national champion while playing volleyball at USC when she and Cassel first met. Killian was captain of the 2002 national champions. The team got to go to the White House after the win where she shook the hand of then President George W. Bush.

According to those present at the White House ceremony:

President Bush was almost smitten with Lauren who charmed her way through the afternoon’s events.”

Killian was named captain for her last two years on the team and earned awards as a Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention and as the 10th ranked women’s volleyball player in the history of USC with 248 career block assists.

He said in an interview with the New York Times:

She keeps me grounded. She gets it. I can talk to her about the dynamics of the team or things like that and she gives me better advice than anybody.”


2. She is 6 Feet 1 Inch Tall

As a Division I collegiate voleyball player, Killian was the perfect height at 6 feet 1 inch and incredibly athletic. Luckily, Matt Cassel stands at 6 feet 4 inches.


3. She Was Born in Los Angeles

Killian was born on July 31, 1981 in Los Angeles. Her whole family attended the University of Southern California. She has two brothers, Donny and Jimmy, and one sister, Elizabeth.


4. She Married Matt Cassel in 2007

Killian and Cassel both grew up in L.A. and attended the University of Southern California where they met. Cassel is actually younger than Killian, graduating in 2004 while Killian finished college in 2002. Carson Palmer who player on the USC team with Cassel was his best man.


5. They Have a Daughter

Killian gave birth to their daughter Quinn in 2010.

In an interview with the New York Times, Cassel said:

You never think you can love somebody that much. For me, my wife and my daughter are my world.”
