Final Score: Raiders 27, Lions 26

The Oakland Raiders host the Detroit Lions Friday night in Week 2 of the NFL preseason.

Kickoff is set for 10 p.m. Eastern time, and we’ve got you covered with updates and highlights throughout the night.

The Lions Picked off Matt Schaub & Scored on Their Ensuing Possession

The Raiders’ opening drive ended when James Ihedigbo intercepted a pass from Matt Schaub with 10:48 left in the first quarter and returned it 38 yards to the Oakland 36.

Matt Stafford and Co. capitalized quickly when Stafford hit Golden Tate for a 28-yard touchdown pass that put the visitors on the board with 9:58 left in the first quarter. The only drawback for Detriot? Nate Freese’s extra point attempt hit the right upright — another casualty of the league’s experiment with 33-yard extra points.

Detroit made it 13-0 when Stafford hit Kris Durham for a 4-yard touchdown reception with 2:01 left in the first quarter and Freese followed with the extra point.

Darren McFadden Put the Raiders on the Board

Darren McFadden scored from a yard out with 8:09 left in the first half, capping an 11-play, 60-yard drive that brought the Raiders to within 13-7.

Sebastian Janikowski added a 26-yard field goal with 3:04 left in the second quarter to bring Detroit within 13-10, but Freese booted a 55-yarder with 8 seconds left in the half to stretch the lead back to 16-10.
