Sandy Allenby is the ex-wife of professional golfer Robert Allenby. The couple separated in 2010 after 11 years of marriage.

1. She Married Robert Allenby in 1999

Sandy Kempsey married professional golfer Robert Allenby on January 2, 1999 in Ripponlea, a suburb in Australia. Sandy has since been involved with other pro golfers’ wives that raise money for Autism.
2. After 6 Years of Trouble They Got Divorced

The Australian couple was married for 11 years, 6 of which were in distress before splitting in 2010. Sandy blamed the marriage on Allenby’s demanding career.
In an interview with the Herald Sun she said:
It’s not easy being the wife of a professional golfer, especially when you’ve got kids. Our two kids are our top priority and we want to keep the divorce low key for them. I hope everyone respects our privacy.”
Sandy was Allenby’s second wife. When the couple was divorced in 2012, their son Harry was 12 years old and their daughter Lily was 10.
3. Robert Allenby Has a New Girlfriend

Allenby is allegedly dating Ashley Widmann. He started dating her right after his split with Sandy and before the divorce was finalized.
Allenby told the Sydney Morning Herald in 2011:
I do have a new girlfriend now. She is unreal, she’s beautiful. She’s awesome. You’ll see her at the Presidents Cup and early in the week at Coolum [in the Australian PGA Championship the following week]. It will be her first trip to Australia, and she’s looking forward to it. I’ll take her to the Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast to show her what a real croc looks like.”
Ashley Widmann is the manager of a Billabong store at a mall near Allenby’s home in Jupiter, Florida.
4. They Live in Southern Florida

Even though their marriage failed, as parents they vowed to keep a good relationship as they were about to lead separte lives by living close by in Jupiter, Florida. Jupiter is the home of many professional golfers including Tiger Woods and now Rickie Fowler.
Sandy’s home is now in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida nearby Robert’s.
5. She Stumbled Across a Murder Scene

Sandy had a very unusual run-in with a nasty situation in 2008 as she was driving with her children. In an area close to the rough side of downtown Atlanta, she spotted the dead body of a man on the lawn of a house she was passing. Robert was playing in a tournament at the time.
The area was known for its exponentially high crime rate and has shown improvement, but is still considered a dangerous area.
