What Time Is Obama’s ISIS Speech on September 10?

President Obama will speak from the White House’s “State Floor” at 9 p.m. ET on September 10. Check your local listings for more details about the timing of tonight’s ISIS speech from the President, as you may be located in a time zone that is not Eastern.

The President is expected to refer to the organization as ISIL, rather than ISIS or the Islamic State. Mediaite argues that the President uses the harder-to-say-quickly moniker of ISIL instead of ISIS because ISIL technically covers a larger area. The “L” is ISIL refers to the Levant, an area of the Middle East that actually includes Lebanon and Jordan, in addition to Syria (the country which is the second “S” in ISIS.)

What Channel Will Broadcast Obama’s ISIS Speech?

All of the major networks will broadcast the speech from the White House. NBC, FOX, CBS, and ABC will air the President’s speech starting at 9 p.m. ET.
