Will Campbell has been named as the main suspect in a Miami nightclub shooting that left 15 people wounded. The horrific incident happened at the Spot nightclub in the Liberty City area of Miami back in September.

Here’s what we know so far:


1. Campbell Faces Attempted Murder Charges

He’s charged with multiple offenses, including attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm, reports Local 10. It’s expected that Campbell will be charged as an adult.


2. One of the 15 Shot Was an Intended Target

The Spot nightclub was hosting a teen night when the shooting broke out. A 15-year-old kid named Trevon Simmons, was the intended target of the shooting. He remains in hospital, he’s listed in critical condition.


3. It All Started as a High School Beef

He was a student at Norland High School. It’s believed that the motive for the shooting was due to a feud that began at the school.


4. He Has Priors for Drug Possession & Carrying a Knife

According to the Miami Herald, police have been trying to arrest Campbell since October 3. The paper adds that he’s been kicked out of multiple schools recently and was difficult to track down. Miami Herald reporter David Ovalle tweeted that Campbell was arrested in 2013 for fighting, weed possession and carrying a knife.


5. The Nightclub’s Owner Is Also Facing Charges

So far the only other person facing charges in the case is Tiffany Johnson, the manager of The Spot. Her offenses are related to having hard-liquor bottles in the club which only has a license for beer and wine.
