Chloe Goins: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

A Vegas lap dancer has filed a massive lawsuit against Bill Cosby alleging sexual assault along with 50 other accusers. Chloe Goins, 24, had previously gone to the LAPD on January 14 to discuss her allegations against the legendary comedian. Her lawyer, Spencer Kuvin, told reporters at the time that his client was “very afraid of a powerful, influential man who clearly took advantage of her in a situation.” Now, her fears allayed, she’s going public with her allegations that Cosby molested her when she was 18 years old after drugging her. You can watch Goins’ appearance on Dr. Phil above.

Cosby was arrested on December 30, 2015, and charged in Pennsylvania with aggravated indecent assault. He is accused of sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee, in 2004.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. Goins Says Cosby Assaulted Her at the Playboy Mansion

TMZ reports that Goins accused Bill Cosby of sexually assaulting her at the Playboy Mansion in 2008 when Goins was 18. She alleged that after drinking something with Cosby, she woke up to find him sucking her toes and masturbating. If an investigation leads authorities to pressing charges, the alleged 2008 assault would fall under the statute of limitations in California. If convicted, Cosby could face two years in jail. TMZ reports Cosby’s lawyer, Marty Singer, claiming that he has extensive proof that the comedian wasn’t at the Playboy mansion on the night in question. He puts Cosby in New York City on August 9, 2008. To prove this, Singers says he has phone and flight records.

2. Goins Has Now Filed a Lawsuit Against Cosby, Along With 50 Other Women

Now Goins, along with 50 other Cosby accusers have filed a lawsuit against Cosby. The above civil complaint goes through many of the same details she told police back in January. On top of that, it goes through more than 40 other stories of accusations of date rape against Cosby. Besides the case of Andrea Constand, who settled a case against the comedian in 2006, all of the cases fall outside of the statute of limitations. Speaking to the media after filing suit, Goins said “Today I recognize that I’ve taken legal action that many of the other victims of Bill Cosby will never be able to take. For that reason, I offer this message to those brave women: your experience was just like mine and mine just like yours. We are not alone, we did not ask for these attacks, and these attacks are not our fault.”

Meanwhile her attorney, Spencer Kuvin said “We know that she was drugged, we know that Mr. Cosby was there, and we know that he’s the one that gave her the drink, and he’s the one that undressed her and left her in that room and molested her…This lawsuit represents a significant milestone in the collapse of Bill Cosby’s fabricated public image over the years. This is the only lawsuit now filed by one of Mr. Cosby’s sexual assault victims that falls directly within the statute of limitations.”

Jim

Goins’ lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles seeks punitive damages for a variety of problems she says she has endured since the incident, including mental anguish, loss of self-esteem and dignity. Loss of self-esteem and dignity? Seriously? She’s a stripper and a prostitute.

Jim, for all we know. She may actually blame Cosby for her choice in life direction…which would be lame. Whether Cosby was guilty or not. The whole “innocent until proven guilty ” I believe can be reverse in the name of the accusers. I’m getting the feeling she may be trying to “cash in”…even if she was indeed a victim. I have been a victim early in my life. Wait, stop, no…NOT of Cosby lol. I have tried so hard to heal and move on and so many years have passed that it would not provide much relief to trade in my cotton pillow stuffing for cash. Money does not turn back time or undo any damage done, it doesn’t fix pain or rearrange memories for the better. But, what can one resort to to make one “pay” these days without committing crimes themselves? I guess to stick it to them, though personally I would not have waited that long, waiting this long looks almost non credible. If she is doing this falsely, I hope she goes to hell. Certainly NOT for Cosby’s sake, but for the GENUINE victims. This would further damage THEIR credibility. And make other victims who are afraid to stand up even more afraid for being seen as another lying, money grubbing ho.
