It’s how the East was won. Or it will be.

Derick Brassard recorded a hat trick and the New York Rangers exploded for seven goals on Tuesday night to force a deciding Game 7 against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Finals at Madison Square Garden.

Game 7 is set for Friday night at 8 p.m. EST on NBCSN. Pre-game begins at 7 p.m. on NBCSN.

It’s been an up-and-down series for both teams with each squad taking its defensive and offensive lumps. Now however, with the series-deciding game and the berth to the Stanley Cup Finals, the odds favor the Rangers. The Blueshirts are the defending Eastern Conference champs and, more importantly, boast a perfect 7-0 franchise record in Game 7’s at the World’s Most Famous Arena and 10 straight wins in elimination games at home.

The Rangers are looking for their second straight trip to the Stanley Cup Finals and their first return to championship glory since the Messier-guaranteed season in 1994. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, is searching for the franchise’s second Finals appearance. The Lightning’s only other Stanley Cup berth came in 2004 when they also won the title.

Here’s a look back on the series:

Game 1 – Rangers 2, Lightning 1, Saturday May 16
Game 2 – Lightning 6, Rangers 2, Monday May 18
Game 3 – Lightning 6, Rangers 5, Wednesday May 20
Game 4 – Rangers 5, Lightning 1, Friday May 22
Game 5 – Lightning 2, Rangers 0, Sunday May 24
Game 6 – Rangers 7, Lightning 3, Tuesday May 26

There is no free, unrestricted live stream for the games. But if you have access to a cable or satellite subscription, here’s how to watch online and on mobile:
