Muhammed Amin is an eighty-year-old Islamic State jihadi militant from China. However, he also claims to be from Turkestan, and there seems to be some confusion in going back and forth between the two. He is interviewed in the latest propaganda video purportedly released by ISIS.
In the video, Amin is portrayed as a wise elder who calls for more violence against the “kuffar”, or non-Muslims. He came to the occupied area known as the Islamic State because he saw his son, who had previously joined ISIS, get killed in a video while fighting in Syria.
Amin then made the resolution to go and fight himself. However, he is not presently allowed to fight on the battlefield.
