A new video purportedly released by the Islamic State shows ISIS-affiliated detectives investigating an alleged murderer then executing the accused with a shotgun. The peculiar propaganda was released online on July 29 and is titled “The Retribution of Life.” The video is alleged to have been filmed in the Wilayat of Ninawa, or Nineveh Governorate, an ISIS-occupied territory with the provincial capital of Mosul, Iraq.
The video begins in a residential home with footage of a crime scene being shown. There is blood on the floor. Three men are shown being interviewed by Islamic State detectives as to what happened. ISIS then dusts for fingerprints and the investigation is focused on one man, who is found guilty.
The man is then taken out the streets of Nineveh and charges are read to a gathered crowd by a man dressed in black. The alleged murderer is then executed with a shotgun shot to the head.
