Sun-Staches entered the Shark Tank in Season 6 with their fun and adorable sunglasses. Back then, we interviewed founder David Levich and his wife, Stephanie. As their episode re-airs on August 14, we caught up with David to see how the company is faring since leaving the Tank and securing a deal with Daymond.
Here is what he told us about…
Their Growth Since the ‘Tank’
Growth has been tremendous. We have signed licensing deals with a multitude of licensors including Marvel, Saban (Power Rangers) Hasbro (My Little Pony and Transformers), DC Comics , Nickelodeon, Universal (Minions), Nintendo, Pac-Man and many others. We also massively increased our distribution and have had over a 50 percent growth in sales and profit. We are poised to have a massive 2016.
Speaking to Daymond Once a Week
We really had no Idea what we were getting ourselves into when we agreed on a deal with ‘The Peoples’ Shark.’ He and his team has surpassed our every expectation. Daymond has a very large and talented support team. We speak to numerous people within his team every single day. They have gone out of their way to make our lives easier, and the business more productive. From sitting in with us in licensing meetings, to helping us at trade shows, we are just now realizing how great we really have it. Everyone including Daymond is only a phone call away.. We typically speak with Daymond about about once a week.
We’ve introduced over 100 designs, primary licensed designs. Minion Goggle Glasses, Batman designs, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Power Rangers, PAW Patrol, more Ninja Turtles and many many others.
Their New Partnership With Marvel
We love working with Marvel. They are amazing. They have an incredible staff that really goes out of their way to help us succeed. We speak with them at least three to four times a week.
