A blimp that’s part of a network designed to detect cruise missiles, drones, and other vehicles escaped from an Army facility and was seen floating over Pennsylvania, knocking out power lines along its way. The blimp escaping is a serious affair, since it’s two football fields long and dragging a tether behind it. But when the news broke, the Twitter world raced to nickname the event #BlimpontheLoose, with hilarious comments quickly following. Even Edward Snowden got in on the game.
