Liga MX is still in full swing, but some of Mexico’s best players are in Miami for El Tri’s first friendly of 2016 against Senegal. Manager Juan Carlos Osorio needs to absorb as much as he can from this match, as Mexico won’t reconvene until late March for World Cup Qualifying.

The year looks bright for Mexico, as Osorio will bring a talented squad to Copa America Centenario. No players have been recalled from Europe for today’s match, but those players will provide a boost to an already talented roster. Look for young players aiming to impress tonight, as players like Jesus Zavala and Erick Gutierrez could see more playing time than usual. Mexico is currently riding a four game win streak, and defeated Senegal 1-0 in their only other meeting in 2010.

The awkward scheduling also affects Senegal, who will be without Cheikhou Kouyate, Sadio Mane and Diafra Sakho for tonight’s match.
