If only one person wins, the “lump sum” will be worth $156.3 million, before taxes. No one won the jackpot on Saturday, so the pot is growing. One person from Oklahoma won $2 million last time, and people in six states won the $1 million prize. There were 899,973 winners total, ranging up from $4 to $2 million.
If you choose the Power Play option, you’ll multiply the prize amount of non-jackpot prizes by the amount of the Power Play for tonight. The only exception is the $1 million prize, which only becomes $2 million if you choose the Power Play option when you buy your ticket.
How do you know if your numbers won? If you match all five white balls in any order and match the red Powerball number, then you’ll win the jackpot. But there are additional ways to win.
