WATCH: Chicago Man Shot While Live Streaming Video

A shooting on a Chicago street corner during broad daylight was caught on camera Thursday by the victim, who was recording a live stream at the time.

In the video, the man can be seen talking to the camera, when gunshots suddenly ring out. The man then falls to the ground, dropping the camera, which shows a gunman firing repeatedly. At the end of the video, people can be heard screaming and running to help the victim, who has not yet been identified.

Police told CBS Chicago the 31-year-old victim was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. He was undergoing surgery Thursday night.

According to police, the shooting happened at about 4 p.m. at 55th and Hoyne on the South Side of the city.

Nine people were shot, including two fatally, in several shootings Thursday afternoon in the city, the Chicago Tribune reports.
