A Virginia State Police trooper and a suspect were killed, and four others were wounded, including a second trooper, in a shooting the Greyhound bus station in Richmond, WWBT-TV reports.

The shooting occurred while Virginia troopers were training at the bus station. The trooper and suspect have not yet been identified.

The shooting was first reported at about 2:45 p.m.

Police sources told WWBT the gunman walked up to the troopers and shot one in the chest, the news station reports. The dispatcher said state police were at the scene and were not in their uniforms.

First responders declared the scene a “mass casualty” and the dispatcher called it an “active shooter” situation.
