In a conference that tends to focus on the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and everyone else, the Los Angeles Clippers are looking to prove their status as legitimate contenders.

So far, so good on that front, as the Clips rolled to a 115-95 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1, improving to 6-0 since Blake Griffin’s return to the lineup.

The Blazers, meanwhile, will have to find a better rhythm offensively if they’re going to turn the series around. They shot just 39.8 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from 3-point range in Game 1, marking their worst shooting game in over a month.

You can’t expect Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum to struggle like they did, but the Clips still enter as big 8.5-point favorites.
