For several weeks, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have been fighting for the state of New York. Today, New York voters are heading to the voting booths to vote for their candidate.
Heavy wants to give you the opportunity to vote for who will win the New York Democratic primary. Clinton led Sanders by double digit percentage points in most of the early polls conducted in recent weeks.
The Sanders campaign has argued that early polling numbers have typically not been favorable for Sanders and in places like Michigan he has done much better than the early polls suggested.
Sanders is hoping for a similar scenario in New York where he is looking to make a late push. Clinton has strong ties to the state given her time serving as New York senator.
Sanders was born in Brooklyn, a fact he emphasized in last week’s debate. There are 247 delegates at stake in today’s primary and the delegates are divided proportionally based on the results. A win for Clinton would help her widen her lead in the delegate race.
