A 55-year-old Phoenix man is accused of posing as a lesbian online to convince a 15-year-old girl to send him nude photos of herself, police say.

Danny Lee Wallace was arrested last week on several felony charges, KPHO-TV reports.

Wallace pretended to be a 23-year-old woman named Veronica to talk to the girl about sex and to persuade her to send him naked photos.

1. Wallace Is Accused of Talking About Using Sex Toys With the Girl During Online Conversations

In addition to getting the girl to send him nude photos, police say Wallace talked about having sex and using sex toys with the girl during the online conversations, which began in December 2015 and ended in March 2016, according to KNXV-TV.

Wallace, as “Veronica,” said “she” would kill herself if she broke off the relationship. The girl went to her parents and told them about “Veronica,” and was “extremely distraught over the suicide threats,” KNXV reports.


2. The Girl Sent Wallace a Stuffed Animal, Candy & Jewelry, Police Say

Police said they found a stuffed animal, candy and jewelry that the victim sent to Wallace, thinking the gifts were going to “Veronica,” according to court documents obtained by KNXV-TV.

The raid on Wallace’s home occurred on MAy 19 and he was taken into custody that day.

He admitted to chatting with the girl online, KPHO-TV reports.


3. Police Found a Ledger With Other Usernames of Girls He Talked to Online & Are Believe There Are More Victims

Police said they believe there are other child victims, KPHO-TV reports.

Investigators said they found a ledger in Wallace’s bedroom when they raided his Phoenix home. The log lists usernames of other girls he apparently was chatting with online, police said. Detectives are now looking into those usernames and additional charges could be filed.


4. He Was Convicted of Assault in 2011

Wallace was arrested in December 2010 and charged with assault by intentionally or knowingly causing physical injury to a person, according to court records from the Arizona Judicial Branch’s website.

Wallace was found guilty in June 2011.

Details of the case were not immediately available. It was also not clear what sentence Wallace received.

There are no other criminal convictions listed for Wallace.


5. He Is Being Held on $100,000 Bail on Several Charges

Wallace is being held on $100,000 bail at the Maricopa County Jail, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office’s online records.

He was charged with computer tampering (using to threaten), aggravated luring, commercial sexual exploitation and sexual exploitation of a minor, all felonies, according to court records.

Wallace, who was arrested May 19, is scheduled to be arraigned on May 31.
