WATCH: Marco Rubio Says Donald Trump’s Muslim Ban Isn’t Going to Happen

In an interview on Face the Nation this weekend, Senator Marco Rubio was asked about Donald Trump’s proposed Muslim ban, and he was quite confident in saying that nothing Trump has suggested will actually become law.

“That’s not a real proposal,” he said. “It’s not something that’s going to happen.”

Rubio went on to say that he thinks the Muslim ban is bad policy for the country and that he will fight against it if Trump attempts to implement it as president.

This wasn’t the only position of Trump’s that Rubio said could never be accomplished. The Florida senator dismissed the idea that Donald Trump would deport 11 million illegal immigrants from the country, saying that it’s impractical.

“The reality of it is you can’t do it,” he said. “You can’t round up and deport 11 million people.”

Finally, when asked about the possibility of serving as Trump’s vice president, Rubio completely ruled out the idea, saying that he’s focused on running for reelection in Florida and that he disagrees with Trump too often for them to serve together.
