WATCH: California Baptist Pastor Praises Orlando Massacre

Baptist Pastor Roger Jimenez has caused an uproar over a sermon he gave praising the Orlando massacre. He stated:

Are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today?” asked Jimenez. “Um no. I think that’s great. I think that helps society. I think Orlando, Florida, is a little safer tonight. The tragedy is that more of them didn’t die. The tragedy is I’m kind of upset he didn’t finish the job – because these people are predators. They are abusers.

The video, which was posted to Youtube just a day after the Orlando mass shooting, has since been deleted by Youtube for hate speech.

Though Jimenez swears he was not promoting violence, his words contradict that statement.

“I wish the government would round them all up, put them up against a firing wall, put the firing squad in front of them and blow their brains out,” he said.

The church’s website states, “We are a young church with a desire to reach the people of Sacramento and its surrounding area with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The word “verity” simply means “truth”. It is our desire to be a church where the message is never watered down or compromised. We strive to be a church where you can come and learn the truths of God’s word.

We are an independent, fundamental, soul winning, separated, King James Bible believing Baptist church–and not ashamed to say so. Verity Baptist Church is a Family Integrated Church.”

Jimenez defended his sermon to ABC 10, and said he had no regrets. “My whole point was, if people die who deserved to die, we don’t need to be mourning them. This gunman that went in there and shot those people up, the Bible says he deserves to die, and we shouldn’t be mourning his death either.”

I repudiate this sermon. Homosexuality is wrong, but there should be compassion for what happened to those victims period. However, Jimenez said several times he does not advocate violence by the church against homosexuals. He did advocate the government exterminating homosexuals. Jimenez is 100% in error. The government should not seek to exterminate anyone, and no Christian should advocate the extermination of any life, even if they are guilty of sins. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God as the bible says. I am a sinner, and I am guilty of death just as much as any homosexual. Christians should seek to win those folks to Christ and not berate them for their sin. The bible is clear about not having a novice as a pastor, which is exactly what this boy is, a novice.

I pray to God that a homosexual gets to torture and put a bullet in this sick dogs head. All people that think like this should DIE. They think homesexuality is holding society back? No, your backwards way of thinking is
