Chelsea Clinton earned an annual salary of $600,000 at NBC News, according to Politico. Clinton was hired as a special correspondent in 2011 to work on projects for “NBC Nightly News” and Brian Williams’ newsmagazine, “Rock Center.” Her reports were part of NBC News’s “Making a Difference” series.

NBC News faced criticism following the hire, due to the the high-paying position and Clinton’s lack of journalism experience. The company faced similar criticism in 2009, when they hired Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of former President George W. Bush, as a special correspondent for the “Today” show.

Her $600,000 contract came up for renewal in 2014, according to Politico, but the network decided to place her on a month-to-month arrangement in case her mother declared for the 2016 presidential race.

Clinton announced in August 2014, a month before the birth of her first child, that she would be leaving NBC to focus on philanthropic work at the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation.

“It is frustrating, because who wants to grow up and follow their parents? I’ve tried really hard to care about things that were very different from my parents … it’s a funny thing to realize I feel called to this work, both as a daughter and also as someone who believes I have contributions to make,” the former first daughter told the New York Daily News.

The New York Times reports “she remains on the board of IAC/InterActiveCorp, a digital media company overseen by Barry Diller, a longtime Clinton supporter.” In 2011, that position paid an annual retainer of $50,000 and a $250,000 grant of restricted stock, according to the New York Times.

According to a report from The Washington Post, the University of Missouri-Kansas City balked at a $275,000 quote for a one-time speaking fee from Hillary Clinton’s office in 2014.

The Post states the university opted for the former first daughter instead. They paid Chelsea $65,000 for a brief appearance in February 2014, according to the article. She spoke for 10 minutes, participated in a 20-minute Q&A session and posed for pictures.

  1. ANYONE with chelsea clinton’s lack of experience would have a tough time finding a job as a fast food worker. The clinton family is the epitome of corruption. Pay for play…plain and simple.

    • You know nothing of her education or experience. Just keep parroting what’s shoved down your throat. It’s a lot easier than checking the facts.

      • I think it’s you Mr. Anonymous that knows nothing. Let’s seeee, her first job as at NBC for 600K per. That lasted a few years. Then she skipped to a Clinton crony for 25K and some options. That looks like the sum total of her work experience. Magically after these two jobs she’s worth 15 million. She’s got that Clinton touch! Remember when her mommy made a 1000% play in the cattle futures market? A feat that hasn’t been close to being equaled before, ever, or since by anybody. Chelsea must be blessed like that. She’s plugged into the Clinton Crime Family and married the son of a felon convicted of 31 felony charges of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud. A marriage made in heaven.

      • I don’t care what education she has had; it would not make her worth anything approaching the $600K salary she received. What are the facts of her experience? The only fact that comes to my mind is that Chelsea has ridden her corrupt parents’ name into cushy jobs that paid outsized salaries! Let’s ask another question – what has Chelsea (similar to Hillary) ever accomplished in any job she has held? Crickets?

    • Perhaps the most telling indication of the corruption in this family is that they promote the lying and crookedness in their ugly daughter. If she was a dog, they would shave her ass and make her walk backwards.

  2. EARN…SHE EARS $600,000 . Seem we have a different vocabulary here. Speaking fee for what, her privileged life lecture??? Curious, how do they afford an apartment well over their income??? think something (a few things) are missing.

    • Her husband works as an investment banker and the article does not mention his income so how can you say their home is “we’ll over their income.” Their combined net worth is 30 MIL so a home at 3 MIL is not excessive. Should they release their tax returns to satisfy your curiosity?

      • How can Chelsea get away with billing the 3 million dollar cost of her wedding to the Clinton foundation a charity. I thought Charity was supposed to go to those in need not family members who are worth 15 million.

      • “their combined net worth is 30 MIL so a home at 3 MIL is not excessive.”

Someone did not read the article. It was 10.5 million, and the wedding was 3 million. It also said it was estimated the wedding was “between 2 and 5 million”.

        Next time read before posting.

      • Do some research before you question other’s comments, your ignorance is showing.
Her husband started a hedge fund, collected $25 million from investors then “lost” 90% before shutting down the fund with “no comment” to those investors. His father, and good friend of the clintons, is a criminal too.

      • Her parents bought the apartment for them. The purchase was reported in the NYTs. Chelsea’s husband’s career as an investment banker is based solely on his connections with the Clinton’s; the proof is that he was fired within weeks of Hillary’s loss.

  3. Here husband Marc lost it all (other peoples $) in the hedge fund. His only job is Chelsea’s husband. Her salary of 900,000 from the foundation.

  4. Her lip MUST weigh twelve lbs… That is an extremely homely woman. Chelsea running for ANYTHING LOL! 600k for a ‘no-show’ job that was given to her by mommy dearest, brutal. How in THE H*** can ANYONE take this freak serious after her parents? My god, if THAT is what is on the docket for city council (still LOL), we must truly be the most ignorant country on the planet – a Clinton, for ANYTHING (other than investigations) is freaking hilarious – They are over and the hippies need to back into the woods where they came from, puke in mouth…ugh!

  5. I feel Chelsea Clinton must see the corruption but I suppose the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree ! IF she is not embarrassed by all the daily scandals ,and doesn’t look into them ,then she is just like them . What a legacy to give to that poorbaby……a corrupt set of grandparents ! SAD !

  6. How can Chelsea get away with billing the 3 million dollar cost of her wedding to the Clinton foundation a charity. I thought Charity was supposed to go to those in need not family members who are worth 15 million.

  7. That is how you get rich in USA: be a child of some crooked politician, or even better, politicians. Get the job in their money laundering foundation, give meaningless speeches (paid by the buyers of political influence of your parents, pretend to care about simple folks, etc). Hard work, climbing the ladder, paying your dues is for suckers. Remember you want to get to the top:start at the top. USA is growing a new class of rulers, just like Europe had an aristocracy before democracy. And Hillary is a queen, that should be beheaded, not pardoned.
Mr. Trump: I understand your motivation not to investigate Hillary but you let this cancer grow with no accountability. I guess in the next election we should be looking for the more determined leader.

  8. Hmmm

For someone who has never held a regular job requiring anywhere near a 40 hour work week commitment combined with her jet set life style the idea that she could legitimately accumulate 15 million dollars in wealth in such a short period of time defies not just logic and rational thought, but plain old fashioned common sense. She is as evil and corrupt as her parents. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

  9. Evil- evil- evil woman. God bless your soul sweetheart. I am sending you as much positive energy, love, and support as I possibly can. Let the light in sister. We all have our arms out- waiting to embrace you with the kindness and love you could ever ask for! Nothing is ever lost, you are just waiting to be found by the light!
