Graphic video aired by KDFW-TV shows a gunman ambushing and shooting a police officer in the back, Thursday night in Dallas during in incident that left multiple officers dead and wounded.
The video shows the gunman exchanging fire with the officer and then walking up behind him to shoot him.

The condition of the officer seen in the video is not known. Police said 11 officers were shot during the incident along with one civilian. Four of the officers, three from the Dallas Police Department and one from the Dallas Area Rapid Transit authority, were fatally shot. The gunfire began just before 9 p.m. as a peaceful rally was held by members of Black Lives Matter in response to two recent fatal police shootings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota.

Police said they believe two gunmen with long rifles opened fire during the incident, with the gunmen firing from elevated positions at times. Police said one suspect is holed up inside a building in downtown Dallas.
