WATCH: Donald Trump’s Speech Video at RNC Accepting GOP Nomination

Donald Trump officially accepted the GOP nomination to run for president. Trump addressed the crowd on the final day of the Republican National Convention.

“Friends, delegates and fellow Americans, I humbly and gratefully accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States,” Trump told the crowd.

At an an hour and 15 minutes, the speech was the longest acceptance speech at a convention by either party.

Bill Clinton’s speech in 1996 was 64 minutes long.

Trump spent the majority of his speech talking about immigration and national security. After an uplifting message from his daughter, Trump painted a dark picture of America and laid out his plan on how he would go about fixing it.

He ended his speech by saying, “I will be your champion in the White House.” He contrasted Hillary Clinton’s campaign phrase “I’m With Her” by instead saying “I’m With You”.

Trump’s oldest daughter, Ivanka, introduced her father. She spoke about his vision, work ethic and compassion for those who are hurting.

She called her father “color blind and gender neutral.” Ivanka referred to her father’s experience in the business world working with a diverse group of people.

The two speeches stood in stark contrast to each other. Ivanka’s speech looked to appeal to undecided voters with a special emphasis on equality for women.

Here was the Twitter reaction to the speech:
