The lineup of speakers for opening night of RNC 2016 leans heavy on people with ties to the military, including a number of politicians who are also veterans. According to Cleveland.com
, the theme for Day 1 of the convention is "Make America Safe Again". It is a play off of Donald Trump's campaign slogan of "Make America Great Again" and plays well with Trump's emphasis on a strong military presence.
