LIVE STREAM: Donald Trump Rally in Dimondale, Michigan

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will hold a rally in Dimondale, Michigan this afternoon, his first event following the news that his campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, is resigning.

Trump’s event will be held at the Summit Sports and Ice Complex beginning at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. It can be viewed in the embedded YouTube player via Right Side Broadcasting.

The Dimondale rally was actually originally scheduled for 2:00, but it was delayed until 3:30 and then delayed again until 5:00, according to the Lansing State Journal. This was likely to make room in Trump’s schedule for his visit to Louisiana amid the state’s flooding.

It’s not clear at this time whether Trump will speak from a teleprompter or whether his speech will be improvised, as Trump’s addresses had typically been throughout the campaign season. This week, Trump for the first time began to deliver scripted remarks at his rallies, whereas he previously gave prepared speeches at special events while going off the teleprompter for rallies.

Trump held a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina last night, and it marked something of a shift in tone for the candidate. Not only was the entire speech delivered from a teleprompter, but Trump expressed regret for some of the remarks he has made that might have caused “personal pain.” This is the first time Trump has ever approached issuing an apology, having previously doubled down on virtually all his statements and saying he has no regrets.

Over the past few months, there have been several instances of Trump apparently pivoting towards the general election and refining his language, only to get off track with some sort of gaffe like feuding with the parents of a Muslim war hero. Going into these next few series of rallies, then, the question is whether this new Trump will last and if he will be able to stay on message.
