In a new video purportedly released by the Islamic State titled “They Never Lost Heart for That Which Did Befall Them,” wounded ISIS militants are shown trying to continue the battle in “Wilayat Halab,” Syria. Halab is an ancient name for Aleppo.

The title comes from Quranic verse 3:146, which reads:

And many a Prophet (i.e. many from amongst the Prophets) fought (in Allah’s Cause) and along with him (fought) large bands of religious learned men. But they never lost heart for that which did befall them in Allah’s Way, nor did they weaken nor degrade themselves. And Allah loves As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).

In the video, “ancient” battles are shown with horse mounted swordsmen battling non-Muslims.

After, images of injured American-supported troops are shown.

Injured ISIS militants are then introduced. One wheelchair bound militant is interviewed. After the interview portion of the video, the wheelchair bound militant then conducts a suicide bomb attack against Syrian Arab Army soldiers.
