After you’ve finished watching The Voice on NBC, don’t go anywhere. You’ll want to stick around for the latest comedy from Parks and Recreation co-creator Michael Schur, The Good Place. Read on to learn more about the show and when it airs.
The Good Place stars Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, Frozen, House of Lies) as Eleanor, a woman who belongs in the Bad Place but winds up in the Good Place by mistake after she’s killed by a truck. Ted Danson (Cheers, CSI) plays Michael, who shows Eleanor around and tries to help her fit in. William Jackson Harper plays Chidi, the man assigned to be Eleanor’s soul mate. Other members of the cast include Jameela Jamil, D’Arcy Carden and Manny Jacinto. NBC has put in a full 13-episode order to start the season.

“Pilot”: Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) enters the afterlife and begins her process of becoming a better person in the series premiere. Also: Kind soul mate Chidi helps Eleanor navigate her new surroundings; and Eleanor meets her perfect new neighbors.
“Flying”: Eleanor tries to prove she’s worthy of Chidi’s help. Also, a flaw emerges in Michael’s Neighborhood.
NOTE: The next episode, “Tahani Al-Jamil,” will air on Thursday, September 22 following Superstore. This will be The Good Place‘s regular time.
